Investment services, grounded in evidence.

Neox Capital provides equity advice that combines systematic research with fundamental expertise. We work with private clients, family offices, investment professionals, institutions and foundations.

How it works

Every investment begins with a decision and stays under review while you hold it.

We advise on which opportunities to select, how much weight to give them and when to revisit the investment case. You decide whether to act on each recommendation.

Approaches compared

Each approach solves part of the problem.

Judgment-led investing

Fundamental expertise adds context to individual company decisions.

Strengths

  • Deep understanding of individual companies
  • Decisions can be explained in context

Considerations

  • Can be influenced by behavioral bias
  • Harder to apply consistently across a broad universe

Systematic investment

A structured approach brings discipline to each company evaluation.

Strengths

  • Consistent, repeatable evaluation
  • Uses one framework across a broad universe

Considerations

  • Results depend on the quality of the data and assumptions
  • Some systematic approaches can be difficult to interpret

Neox brings the two together: systematic research for breadth and consistency, fundamental expertise for context.

Our process

From a broad universe to a focused portfolio.

First, we discuss your needs and agree on the right fit: one of our core strategies or a customized one.

Define and screen the universe

We set the relevant regions, market sizes and sectors, then screen companies for liquidity, data quality and financial strength.

Evaluate and rank

Neox iQ ranks eligible companies using the factors most relevant to each strategy, drawn from a much broader data set.

Construct the portfolio

The strongest ideas form a focused portfolio, each position sized to its investment case, with risk and correlation controls applied.

Monitor and review

Ongoing analysis tracks each investment case and helps the team identify when a holding should be revisited or replaced.

NEOX iQ

If we can’t explain it, we shouldn’t invest in it.

Neox iQ brings research, portfolio construction and ongoing analysis into one platform. It helps the team apply a consistent framework across a broad investment universe and maintain a clear rationale for each recommendation.

Neox iQ covers around 6,000 listed companies. The investment team reviews the output and remains responsible for the advice.

Fees

How our fees work.

Our fees may include fixed and performance-based components. We take a flexible approach, agreeing the most appropriate structure with each client in advance.

Fixed fees

Fixed fees cover the ongoing research and reporting behind each portfolio. They stay the same whatever the markets do, so clients know their costs from the start.

Performance fees

Performance fees are linked to investment returns, so our interests stay aligned with our clients’. They are calculated at agreed intervals. A high-water mark means we charge them only on gains above the portfolio’s previous highest value.

From client brief to tested strategy.

About Neox

High-dividend equity strategy

260 versions of a dividend portfolio. The client chose one.

The client wanted a portfolio built for dividend income, with firm limits on the sectors and countries it could hold. We began with why the client wanted the strategy and what they expected from it, then tested 260 versions of the portfolio, each with different rules for selecting and selling stocks. The client saw how return and risk shifted with yield threshold and portfolio size, then chose the strategy to invest in.

Live since September 2023.

Low-volatility equity strategy

Some holdings swung far harder. A low-volatility strategy balanced them.

The client, a single family office, held a diversified investment portfolio and had identified that certain investments were contributing disproportionately to the volatility. We began by discussing the client's objectives and conducting an analysis of the entire portfolio, including the risk and volatility of each asset class. Based on this assessment, we proposed a low-volatility equity strategy investing in European companies designed to improve the risk profile of the whole portfolio while keeping its exposure to equity markets.

White-label equity strategies

A wealth manager needed an equity core. Two Neox strategies now carry its name.

The wealth manager needed equity strategies for its discretionary portfolios. We began with the firm’s investment approach and the role the strategies would play for its clients. We then developed two dedicated strategies, one for Europe and one for the Nordic markets. Both became building blocks of the firm’s offering, while it kept control of its client relationships and portfolio decisions.

    FAQ

    Questions about our investment services.

    Get in touch
What does investment management from Neox include?

Neox Capital specializes in focused equity portfolios, and investment management covers the full process. We agree the strategy and mandate with you, build a portfolio using our research and make changes within the mandate as conditions change. Every decision comes with reasoning we can explain. Your assets stay with your own bank, and advisory services remain available if you prefer to decide yourself.

How are recommendations sent and executed?

Each recommendation comes as a trade ticket. It includes the security to be bought or sold, the number of shares, the ticker symbol and the ISIN, so your bank has everything it needs to place the order. You review the ticket and, if you agree, pass it to your bank or custodian for execution. The reasoning behind the recommendation is available alongside it, so you know why a change is suggested.

What does systematic fundamental investing mean?

It means applying a consistent, rules-based process to the same company fundamentals a traditional analyst would study, such as profitability and balance sheet strength. Our platform, Neox iQ, scores around 6,000 listed companies in Europe and the US on value, quality, growth and catalysts, so we can compare them on equal terms and stay disciplined when markets move. Neox iQ doesn’t make investment decisions. The investment team reviews its output, adds the judgment needed to understand each business and remains responsible for every decision.

Can Neox build a portfolio around my existing investments?

Yes. Neox’s role can be shaped around what you already hold elsewhere, so its part of the portfolio makes sense against the whole. In our first conversation, we look at your existing investments and where an equity portfolio from Neox would add the most value. That helps avoid unintended overlaps and keeps your overall exposure in line with your objectives.

Who makes the final investment decision?

That depends on the arrangement you choose. Under investment management, Neox makes the decisions within the mandate agreed with you, and explains the reasoning behind each one. Under investment advice, you make the final decision on every recommendation. Either way, the research and portfolio construction behind it are the same.

What does a typical Neox portfolio look like?

A Neox portfolio typically holds between 15 and 40 listed companies in Europe and the US. It’s long-only and built for a medium- to long-term horizon, with each strategy defining its own investment universe. Keeping the portfolio focused means each holding has a meaningful weight and a clear investment case behind it. At the same time, spreading positions across companies and sectors helps manage concentration risk.

What’s the difference between core strategies and customized portfolios?

Each core equity strategy follows a defined objective and an established process, from dividend income to leading companies in Europe and the US. It suits investors who want an established approach without designing one from scratch. A customized portfolio starts from your own brief, including the limits it needs to respect. Before you invest, we test possible configurations against historical data, so you can see the trade-offs and choose the approach that fits. Both use the same research and investment discipline.

Can I see how a strategy has performed?

Yes. Historical returns and risk measures for Neox Dividend Leaders are available on our Solutions page, and the strategy is also accessible as a tracker certificate issued by UBS. We can share more detail on any of our strategies during our first conversation, including how they have behaved in different market conditions. Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results, and the value of investments can fall as well as rise.

How does Neox monitor a portfolio after it’s built?

Neox iQ tracks each holding and its investment case every day and flags when a portfolio’s characteristics change. The investment team reviews these signals and makes changes within the mandate when the evidence supports them, for example when a company no longer meets the strategy’s criteria or a stronger opportunity appears. Short-term market movements rarely change an investment case on their own. You receive regular reporting, so you can follow how the portfolio develops over time.

Where are my assets held, and can I keep my existing bank?

Your assets stay with your own bank or custodian, in an account in your name, so there’s no new account to open and no need to move your portfolio. Neox does not hold client money or securities. Our role is to research and manage the portfolio, while your bank keeps custody of the assets and carries out Neox’s instructions within the mandate. You continue to receive statements from your bank as usual.

    How is Neox Capital regulated?

Neox Capital Ltd is authorized and regulated by the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA) to provide investment advice. Our authorization can be verified on the MFSA Financial Services Register. Full regulatory information, including our legal and risk disclosures, is available on our legal page.

What happens after I get in touch?

We start with a conversation about your objectives and how involved you want to be in each decision. If working together makes sense, we complete the required onboarding, including your client classification and an assessment of whether our services are suitable for you. We then agree whether a core strategy or a customized portfolio fits best and explain the applicable fees before you decide whether to proceed.
